Following are inclusions and exclusions of the base Safari package.
Included are:
- Round trip economy class air transportation New York to Delhi
- Domestic/regional airfares as per itinerary
- Airport transfers on scheduled tour dates
- 14 nights accommodation & dayroom before final departure
- Five star hotels in the cities and best camps / lodges in the parks
- Three meals at camps & lodges in national parks; breakfast (B) in city hotels; some lunches and dinners (LD) as indicated in itinerary
- Ground transportation in 18-seater air-conditioned coach
- Game viewing activities in the national parks
- City sightseeing as stated in itinerary
- National parks entry fees
- Porterage
- Tips to drivers, camp & lodge staff
- Hotel & service taxes
- Comprehensive pre-departure information (travel tips on India & Nepal, packing lists & adventure gear catalog, suggested reading lists & books catalog, visa application forms & instructions, travel insurance application forms)
Excluded are:
- Camera fees at monuments & parks which vary depending on still vs. video ($20-$40)
- Beverages
- International airport departure taxes Rs. 500 to be paid twice
- Insurance of any kind
- Visas
- Excess baggage charges
- Cost of medical immunizations
- Items of a personal nature
- Gratuity to naturalist escort
Please note that the itinerary sequence is subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control.
All rates quoted are based on tariffs and value of foreign currencies in relation to the U.S. dollar in effect as of May 31, 1998 and are subject to change. Rates are based on a minimum of 11 passengers travelling together (with a maximum of 16 passengers including WCS escort). The right is reserved to levy a surcharge if minimum is not met. The minimum on the extension is 4 passengers. WCS escort will accompany group on extension with a minimum of 10 passengers.
